You can't send text messages - Samsung GT-E1195

Cause 1 of 4: The message centre number is incorrect

The message centre ensures that your text message is sent to the recipient. If the wrong message centre number is saved in your phone, the text message can't be sent.

Solution: Enter the correct message centre number.

Find "Sending options"

Press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Messages and press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Settings and press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Text messages and press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Sending options and press the Navigation key.

Select validity period

Scroll to Validity period and press Navigation key right or Navigation key left to select Maximum.

Select message type

Scroll to Message type and press Navigation key right or Navigation key left to select Text.

Turn off reply via same message centre

Scroll to Reply path and press the Navigation key to turn off reply via same message centre.

Turn off reply via same message centre

When the box next to the menu item is empty, the function is turned off.

Turn request for delivery reports on or off

Scroll to Delivery report and press the Navigation key to turn request for delivery reports on or off.

Turn request for delivery reports on or off

When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

Save the message centre number

Scroll to Service centre and key in +35387699989

Step 13 of 14

Save and exit

Press Save.

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.

Scroll to Sending options and press the Navigation key.

2 Select validity period

Scroll to Validity period and press Navigation key right or Navigation key left to select Maximum.

3 Select message type

Scroll to Message type and press Navigation key right or Navigation key left to select Text.

4 Turn off reply via same message centre

Scroll to Reply path and press the Navigation key to turn off reply via same message centre.
When the box next to the menu item is empty, the function is turned off.

5 Turn request for delivery reports on or off

Scroll to Delivery report and press the Navigation key to turn request for delivery reports on or off.
When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

6 Save the message centre number

Scroll to Service centre and key in +35387699989

7 Save and exit

Press Save.
Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.
