Follow these instructions to set up your phone for text messaging.

Press the Menu key.

Press Message centre name.
Key in Vodafone SMS

Press OK.

Save the message centre number

Press Message centre number.
Key in +35387699989

Press the return icon twice.

Select default message centre

Press Message centre in use.

Press Vodafone SMS.

Turn request for delivery reports on or off

Press Receive report to select Yes or No.

If you turn on request for delivery reports, you'll be notified when your text message has been delivered.

Select validity period

Press Message validity.

If there is no connection to the recipient when you send a text message, the message centre will try to deliver it later.

Select validity period

Press Maximum time.

If there is no connection to the recipient when you send a text message, the message centre will try to deliver it later.

Select data bearer

Press Preferred connection to select GSM/3G.

Turn off reply via same message centre

Press Reply via same centre to select No.

Exit

Press the Menu key to return to standby mode.

Find "Text message"

Press the Menu key.
Press Messaging.
Press the menu icon.
Press Settings.
Press Text message.

Create new message centre

Press Message centres.
Press the menu icon.
Press New message centre.
Press Message centre name.
Key in Vodafone SMS
Press OK.

Save the message centre number

Press Message centre number.
Key in +35387699989
Press OK.
Press the return icon twice.

Select default message centre

Press Message centre in use.
Press Vodafone SMS.

Turn request for delivery reports on or off

Press Receive report to select Yes or No.
