No message tone - HTC One

Cause 1 of 1: The message tone has been turned off

If the message tone has been turned off, there's no message tone when you receive a message.

Solution: Choose message tone.

Find "Notifications"

Press the message icon.

Find "Notifications"

Press the menu icon.

Find "Notifications"

Press Settings.

Find "Notifications"

Press Notifications.

Turn on notifications

Press Received notification until the display tells you that the function is turned on.

Turn on message tone

Press Play notification sound until the display tells you that the function is turned on.

Select message tone

Press Notification sound.

Select message tone

Press the different message tones to listen to them.

Select message tone

Once you've found a message tone you like, press APPLY.

Return to the home screen

Press the Home key several times to return to the home screen.

1 Find "Notifications"

Press the message icon.
Press the menu icon.
Press Settings.
Press Notifications.

2 Turn on notifications

Press Received notification until the display tells you that the function is turned on.

3 Turn on message tone

Press Play notification sound until the display tells you that the function is turned on.

4 Select message tone

Press Notification sound.
Press the different message tones to listen to them.
Once you've found a message tone you like, press APPLY.

5 Return to the home screen

Press the Home key several times to return to the home screen.
