You can't turn on your phone - HTC ChaCha

Cause 2 of 3: Your phone isn't assembled correctly

If your SIM or battery isn't inserted correctly, you can't turn on your phone.

Solution: Make sure that both SIM and battery are inserted correctly.

Remove the back cover

Turn the back of your phone towards you.
Slide the bottom part of the back cover downwards and lift it off.

Step 2 of 5

Remove the battery

Take hold at the right side of the battery and remove it.

Step 3 of 5

Insert your SIM

Place your SIM as illustrated next to the SIM holder.
Slide your SIM into the holder and press it until it clicks into place.

Insert battery

Place the battery in your phone (bottom first), matching the battery contacts with the phone contacts, and press it into place.

Replace the back cover

Place the bottom part of the back cover on your phone and slide it upwards until it clicks into place.

5 Replace the back cover

Place the bottom part of the back cover on your phone and slide it upwards until it clicks into place.
