You can't use tethering - BlackBerry Q10

Cause 1 of 2: Your computer or phone hasn't been set up correctly

You need to set up your computer and your phone before you can use tethering.

Solution: Set up your phone for tethering.

Install BlackBerry Link

Go to www.blackberry.com on your computer.
Find the download section on the web page to download BlackBerry Link.
Download and install BlackBerry Link.

Select USB connection setting

Slide your finger downwards starting from the top edge of the display.
Press Settings.

Select USB connection setting

Press Storage and Access.

Select USB connection setting

Press USB Connections.

Select USB connection setting

Press Connect to Windows or Connect to Mac depending on the operating system on your computer.

Press the return icon.

Press Network Connections.

Press Internet Tethering.
If it's the first time you use tethering:
Follow the instructions on the display to establish a USB connection to the computer.

If you've used tethering before:
Press Connect using.

Press USB.

Connect phone and computer

Connect the data cable to the socket and to your computer's USB port.

Turn on tethering

Press the indicator next to "Internet Tethering" until the function is turned on.
An internet connection from your computer via your phone is established.

3 Connect phone and computer

Press the indicator next to "Internet Tethering" until the function is turned on.
An internet connection from your computer via your phone is established.
