You can't turn on your phone - BlackBerry 9800 Slider

Cause 2 of 3: Your phone isn't assembled correctly

If your SIM or battery isn't inserted correctly, you can't turn on your phone.

Solution: Make sure that both SIM and battery are inserted correctly.

Remove the back cover

Turn the back of the phone towards you.
Slide the back cover downwards and remove it.

Step 2 of 5

Remove the battery

Take hold of the right side of the battery and remove it.

Insert the SIM card

Place the SIM card as illustrated in the SIM card holder.
Slide the SIM card into the SIM card holder.

Insert battery

Place the battery in the phone (bottom first), aligning the battery contacts with the corresponding contacts in the phone, and press the battery into place.

Replace the back cover

Place the back cover on the phone with a ½ cm opening at the top and slide the back cover upwards until it clicks into place.

Turn the back of the phone towards you.
Slide the back cover downwards and remove it.

2 Remove the battery

Take hold of the right side of the battery and remove it.

3 Insert the SIM card

Place the SIM card as illustrated in the SIM card holder.
Slide the SIM card into the SIM card holder.

4 Insert battery

Place the battery in the phone (bottom first), aligning the battery contacts with the corresponding contacts in the phone, and press the battery into place.

5 Replace the back cover

Place the back cover on the phone with a ½ cm opening at the top and slide the back cover upwards until it clicks into place.
