Activate or deactivate the PIN - Vodafone 455

The PIN protects the SIM card from unauthorised use. If the PIN is activated, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on the phone. Follow these instructions to activate or deactivate the PIN.

Find "Security"

Press the Menu key.

Press Settings.

Press Security.

Activate or deactivate

Press Activate PIN to select Off or On.
Key in the PIN.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock the SIM card, you need to key in the PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.

Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, the SIM card is blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM card from your operator.

Press OK.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock the SIM card, you need to key in the PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.

If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, the SIM card is blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM card from your operator.

Exit

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.

Press Activate PIN to select Off or On.
