My HTC U11 Android 7.1 uses a large amount of mobile data

Cause 1 of 3: Automatic mobile data usage is turned on

If automatic mobile data usage is turned on, your phone will use mobile data when the connection to the Wi-Fi network is poor.

Solution: Turn off automatic use of mobile data.

Find "Wi-Fi"

Slide two fingers downwards starting from the top of the screen.

Press the settings icon.

Find "Wi-Fi"

Press Wi-Fi.

Turn automatic use of mobile data on or off

Press the menu icon.

Press Advanced.

Press the field next to "Auto-switch to mobile network" to turn the function on or off.

Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Press Wi-Fi.

2 Turn automatic use of mobile data on or off

Press the menu icon.

Press Advanced.

Press the field next to "Auto-switch to mobile network" to turn the function on or off.

3 Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
