Find "Password"
Press the Menu key twice.
Press Options.
Press Security.
Press Password.
Activate or deactivate
Press Enable to activate or deactivate the function.
When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is activated.
Save setting
Press the Menu key.
Press Save.
Enter phone lock code
If the phone lock code is activated:
Key in an optional phone lock code and press Enter.
Key in an optional phone lock code and press Enter.
If you key in the wrong phone lock code repeatedly, you might be asked to key in the word blackberry before you can continue. If you enter the wrong phone lock code 10 times, all data in the phone is deleted.
Key in the same password again and press Enter.

If the phone lock code is deactivated:
Key in the phone lock code and press Enter.

Exit
Press Disconnect.
Press the Return key to return to standby mode.
