Choose network - Samsung Galaxy S II

When you turn on your phone, it will automatically choose a network within range. Sometimes though, it might be useful to choose your network manually for example, when you're travelling abroad and there are different networks available. Follow these instructions to choose a network.

Find "Network operators"

Press Applications.

Press Settings.

Press Wireless and network.

Press Mobile networks.

Choose option

Choose one of the following options:
Select network manually, go to 2a.
Select network automatically, go to 2b.

2a - Select network manually

Your phone will search for networks within range.
A list of available networks will show on your display.
Press the required network.
Your display will tell you if you've access to the network you've chosen. If you don't have access, it's because your operator doesn't have a roaming agreement with the operator in question.

When you turn on manual network selection, this setting remains turned on until you turn off automatic network selection. If you're out of range of the selected network, your phone won't work.

2b - Select network automatically

Press Select automatically.

Exit

Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

Find "Network operators"

Press Applications.
Press Settings.
Press Wireless and network.
Press Mobile networks.
Press Network operators.

Choose option

2a - Select network manually
