Activate or deactivate the PIN - Nokia C3

The PIN protects your SIM card from unauthorised use. If the PIN is activated, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on the phone. Follow these instructions to activate or deactivate the PIN.

Find "PIN code request"

Press the Navigation key.

Find "PIN code request"

Scroll to Settings and press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Security and press the Navigation key.

Scroll to PIN code request and press the Navigation key.

Activate or deactivate

Highlight On or Off and press the Navigation key.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock the SIM card, you need to key in the PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.

Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, the SIM card is blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM card from your operator.

If you change setting:
Key in the PIN and press the Navigation key.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, the SIM card is blocked. To unblock the SIM card, you need to key in the PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.

Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, the SIM card is blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM card from your operator.

Exit

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.

1. Find "PIN code request"

Press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Settings and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Security and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to PIN code request and press the Navigation key.

2. Activate or deactivate

Highlight On or Off and press the Navigation key.
