If your phone hasn't been correctly set up for picture messaging, you can't send and receive picture messages.

Solution: Set up your phone for picture messaging.

3 Create new data connection

Press MMS.

Press New access point.
Press No.
Press Packet data.

4 Enter APN

Key in mms.vodafone.net
Press OK.

5 Edit data connection settings

Press the data connection you have just created.

6 Enter data connection name

Press Connection name.
Key in Vodafone MMS
Press OK.

7 Deactivate password request

Press Prompt password to select No.

8 Select authentication type

Press Authentication to select Normal.

9 Enter picture messaging server

Press Homepage.
Key in http://www.vodafone.ie/mms and press OK.

10 Enter IP address

Press Options.
Press Advanced settings.
Press Proxy server address.
Key in 10.24.59.200
Press OK.

11 Enter port number

Press Proxy port number.
Key in 80
Press OK.

12 Save data connection

Press Back twice to save the settings and return to the list of data connections.
Press the Menu key to return to standby mode.

13 Find "Multimedia message"

Press the Menu key.
Press Messaging.
Press Options.
Press Settings.
Press Multimedia message.

14 Select data connection

Press Access point in use.
Press Vodafone MMS.

15 Select picture message download

Press Multimedia retrieval.
Press Always automatic.

16 Activate or deactivate request for delivery reports

Press Receive reports.
Press Delivery or No.

17 Exit

Press the Menu key to return to standby mode.
