I can't send and receive text messages on my HTC U11 Android 7.1

The message centre ensures that your text message is sent to the recipient. Consequently, the correct message centre number needs to be saved in the phone.

Solution: Enter the message centre number.

Press the message icon.

Press the menu icon.

Find "Service centre"

Press Settings.

Find "Service centre"

Press Text messages (SMS).

Press Service centre.

Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Key in +35387699989 and press OK.
