You can't send text messages - BlackBerry Z10

Cause 4 of 5: Your phone hasn't been correctly set up for text messaging

If your phone hasn't been correctly set up for text messaging, you may not be able to send text messages.

Solution: Set up your phone for text messaging.

Find "SMS"

Slide your finger left across the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.

Find "SMS"

Press the dots in the bottom right corner of the display.

Press Settings.

Press Text Messages.

Turn request for delivery reports on or off

Press the indicator next to Confirm Delivery to turn the function on or off.

Save the message centre number

Press Advanced.

Press the field below Service Centre Address.
Key in +35387699989

Select data bearer

Press the drop down list below Routing Preference.

Press Circuit Switched Preferred.

Select message type

Press the drop down list below Send Text-Only Messages as.

Save settings

Press Save.

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to standby mode.

1 Find "SMS"

Slide your finger left across the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.
Press the dots in the bottom right corner of the display.
Press Settings.
Press Text Messages.
Press SMS.

2 Turn request for delivery reports on or off

Press the indicator next to Confirm Delivery to turn the function on or off.

3 Save the message centre number

Press Advanced.
Press the field below Service Centre Address.
Key in +35387699989

4 Select data bearer

Press the drop down list below Routing Preference.
Press Circuit Switched Preferred.

5 Select message type

Press the drop down list below Send Text-Only Messages as.
Press SMS.

6 Save settings

Press Save.

7 Exit

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to standby mode.
