Turn use of phone lock code on or off - BlackBerry Z10

The phone lock code protects the contents of your phone from unauthorised use. If the phone lock code is turned on, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on your phone. Follow these instructions to turn use of phone lock code on or off.

Step 1 of 10

Find "Device Password"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press Settings.

Find "Device Password"

Press Security and Privacy.

Step 3 of 10

Find "Device Password"

Press Device Password.

Select option

Select one of the following options:
Turn on use of phone lock code, go to 2a.
Turn off use of phone lock code, go to 2b.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press the indicator next to Device Password to turn on the function.
Key in the required phone lock code.

Step 6 of 10

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press Confirm password and key in the phone lock code.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press OK.

2b - Turn off use of phone lock code

Press the indicator next to Device Password to turn off the function.

Key in the phone lock code and press OK.

Exit

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to standby mode.

Find "Device Password"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press Settings.
Press Security and Privacy.
Press Device Password.

Select option

Select one of the following options:
Turn on use of phone lock code, go to 2a.
Turn off use of phone lock code, go to 2b.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press the indicator next to Device Password to turn on the function.
Key in the required phone lock code.
Press Confirm password and key in the phone lock code.
Press OK.

2b - Turn off use of phone lock code

Press the indicator next to Device Password to turn off the function.
Key in the phone lock code and press OK.

Exit

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to standby mode.
