Set up your phone for web-based email - BlackBerry Torch 9810

You can send and retrieve email messages from a web-based email account, such as Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail and Gmail. Follow these instructions to set up your phone for web-based email.
Before you can set up your phone for web-based email, you need an account with the required email provider. If you don't have an account, you can set one up on the web page of the email provider.

Please note that the steps below are based on a web-based email account. If you have a POP3 email account, you need to use the settings for POP3 email. Click here for information on how to set up your phone for POP3 email.

You also need a BlackBerry ID.

Find "Email Accounts"

Press the Menu key twice.

Press Setup.

Log on

Follow the instructions on the display to log on to BlackBerry ID.

Create new email account

If you have already set up an email account:
Press Set up another email account.

Press the required provider.

If you select Windows Live or AOL:

Create new email account

Press the required domain.

Enter email address

Press the field below Email address and key in your email address.

Enter password

Press the field below Password and key in the password for your email account at your email provider.

Press Continue.

Enter email account name

Press Change Settings.

Enter email account name

Press the field below Email account name and key in a name for the email account (such as "Private" or "Work").

Save and exit

Press Save.

Press Disconnect.

Press the Return key to return to standby mode.

Save and exit

Press Save.
Press Continue.
Press Disconnect.
Press the Return key to return to standby mode.
